All of the possible directories for storing temporary files either do not exist

I've seen several cases today with this issue on AutoCAD (LT) 2019:
All of the possible directories for storing temporary files either do not exist or are read only. Please correct this situation before running AutoCAD again

I've followed the instructions on the articles below and some extra steps but nothing solved the issue:

Steps I've tried:

- moved TEMP / TMP folder to C:/temp
- Uninstall/Reinstall
- Reset License information.

It seems like there is a case on the forum: https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/installation-licensing/temporary-files-error-starting-autocad-2019/td...

I've already posted on Jira and Autodesk Answers.
So far, the only workaround (not solution) seems to create a new user.

Have you other suggestions?

This tells us there is most likely a corruption or a compatibility issue with the user profile. If you have tried verifying that the directory and the pathing in AutoCAD are the same, then it might be a bad install of AutoCAD or the profile is somehow incompatible. You can call it a work around if you like but if a reinstall of AutoCAD does not solve the issue then creating a new user is the solution. That is unless you can figure out what the real issue is but sometimes it's faster to redo than it is to fix.

Hi Rob,

Thanks for your reply;

this issue happens only with AutoCAD (LT) 2019 (Previous version work without no issue) and so far we (I&L Team) had at least 10-20 cases about this.

I am not sure but it seems like there is something that has been changed in AutoCAD (LT) 2019.

If there is a "Alert" with a particular message I guess someone should know when this "Alert" should appear and what to do to find a possible root cause and afterwards a possible solution.

This is something that is happening on too many computers and not all the customers want to create a new User on Windows.

Are all computers getting 2019 on the same network and/or getting 2019 in the same fashion? There have been a number of issues with it not installing properly. You might want to look in that direction.

Hi Rob,

The issue happens on several computer spread all over the world (Some AMER colleagues told me they had some customers with the same issue).

We have several cases about this issue (not only me) and it doesn't seem to depend on the installation.
I do agree that it might be something related to the user profile (not enough permission?) but the questions are... why 2018 (or previous) works fine? Something has been changed on the 2019 version?

There are limited number of ways to install, so "it doesn't seem to depend on the installation" is not verifying that this is not the problem. I'm only going by what people have been reporting and some of the issues were solved by reinstalling in a different fashion.
