Is there any software or function of Autocad that would allow me to work with a Pe tablet like the Wacom Intuos, or perhaps the Ipad? Thanks, kudos and love.

Hi @Anonymous,
AutoCAD does support digitizer tablets if they have a WINtab driver.
You can calibrate a tablet so you can trace or sketch but the calibration only remains active for the current session.
Can you tell me what you want to use the tablet to do? I am happy to do some Internet hunting to see what I can find.

I managed to get my wacom cintiq 27HD to work with AutoCAD 2014. The stylus works fine with no errors or drawing issuse. I tried AutoCAD 2019, 2018, 2017 and nothing works properly with the stylus. I am currently using AutoCAD 2019 and I also have 2014 installed. I use the 2014 version when I have a heavy work load and change over to 2019 version when I am just reviewing drawings or small edits with the mouse. I hope AutoCAD 2020 allows us to use a stylus properly other wise I don't see the point of spending money to upgrade to AutoCAD 2020 if I can't use it as I like.
After playing around with the settings in AutoCAD 2019 trying to figure out why my stylus works with 2014 and not 2019, I realised there was an option called "Current Pointng Device" under the "System" tab in options. I switched settings from "current System Pointer Device" to "Wintab Compatible Digitizer...", then click on "Digizer and mouse".
Now it is working.
They must be a reason why this isn't set as the default. I will check out AutoCAD 2020 to see what is new. If there is nothing new that can help me with my work flow then, I'll wait until AutoCAD 2021 comes out to see what is new and how it could help speed up my work flow.
For all people that will follow, this solution does the job, I used a variaty of Wacom tablets from Intous and Bamboo series.
Pen Mouse is the solution!!!

Thank you, this fixed it for me
Thanks a lot, i puzzled ours and ours, but thanks to you i can work again !!!!!!!
This solution does not work for AutoCAD 2022. Would anyone by any chance know how Wacom Intuos can work with AutoCAD 2022? Thanks!
I've also had issues with the Wacom Ituos Pro tablet but was able to resolve the issues with Wacom customer service. They were extremelly helpful and responsive and I was able to get it to work on 2019, 2021 and 2022 ACAD. Send them a message if you still need assistance and hopefully they can help.
Hello Kate, the issue with the WACOM pen was fixed after I ran the update for AUTOCAD 2022. Thank you.
I use a Wacom Intuos as my main input device for cursor-control, including for AutoCAD. First, it basically just replaces the mouse; that's really all it does, except it (can) use absolute positioning instead of relative, meaning each part of the tablet is mapped to a specific point on your screen.
I only use it because I have an RSI that makes using a more "normal" device like a mouse too painful. I feel that there are a few benefits, but since AutoCAD isn't really set up for cursor-only control to be ideal, the downside of having to switch off to a keyboard regularly would likely make it not worth while for someone unless they had similarly compelling reasons to avoid a mouse.
If you want to get a pen tablet, here is an article ( https://pctechtest.com/20-best-drawing-tablets ) can help you make the choice.
