PDF displays boxes on projected view

I have used AutoCAD for years and this problem suddenly happended after we upgraded to 2022 here at work. I have searched and searched for an answer but have not found anything. When I create a PDF from AutoCAD the preview looks fine but then the actual PDF shows these boxes on the projected view. I have also noticed small issues on other prints where it shows another piece of the drawing on the projected view. I thought it may have something to do with the lines being so 8-bit looking on the PDF but I doubt it.

Have you tried opening the same drawing back in previous version of Autocad to see if problem occurs?

What pc3 file are you using the create the pdf in AutoCAD 2022?

Have you changed to a different pdf viewer to see if the same problem still occurs?

A screenshot of your ABOUT command pop-up, as well as your PLOT command pop-up, would be a good place to start.

A sample DWG that creates the problem and a PDF from it that shows this problem would also help others help you.

I do not have the older versions of AutoCAD here anymore. I am printing to Blubeam PDF. I have tried DWG to PDF.pc3 but the same thing happens.

I attached screenshots of the DWG print preview as well as the PDF view in my original post. Do you need an actual drawing to work with?

I'm not seeing any of the issues. I've attached 3 pdfs: 2020, 2021 & 2022 generated using DWG To PDF.pc3 and they all look the same.

The only difference with the dwg is that you didn't include the xref: icci logo new.dwg

But I don't think this should have an impact.

But see what happens when you open the attached pdfs using your pdf viewer to see if there are differences.

If you have access to another computer running same version of acad, that would be a good test.

stop using BLUEBEAM and see if your issue goes away.

or reach out to BLUEBEAM support for a resolution if you are committed to it: looks like it is not repeatable with the stock PDF drivers but I do not use Bluebeam to view PDFs either. What's your PDF viewer of choice?

We have been using Bluebeam for almost 5 years now and this is the first time this has happened.

Those look fine in Bluebeam here. I keep messing with this and I am at a loss. Btw the ICCI file is a local file for the template.

Perfect time to reach out to Bluebeam. If they want to keep their AutoCAD customers happy, I’m sure there’s a patch or update on their software.
