Origin and coordinate help!

I have drafted a full set for a theatrical production and need to plot points for it's installation. I successfully created a block with attributes that works correctly to display the XY coordinates, however, the location I need to be (0,0) is roughly (25', 50') with the original structure of the drawing. is there a way to change the origin of the drawing to be at this new point so that my coordinate system will work properly, or would I need to set this origin in my attributes when making the block??

Investigate the UCS command.  Changing the UCS origin could be all you need, depending on how those Attributes are made to show the coordinates -- if that's in a way that bases it on the World Coordinate System regardless of the current UCS, there could be some translating required, and I don't know whether that can be done within an Attribute value.  A small sample drawing file would help.

As suggested try creating a UCS on the origin point - each UCS has its own origin.

Be sure to name the UCS and keep a note how it was created so it can be recreated in other drawings.

Alternatively use the lisp file attached to transfer UCS's between drawings.
