Old fonts

I am running AutoCAD 2008 version. I recently migrated from XP to Windows 7.  During installation I lost two of my favorite fonts. One is Archquik. shx and the other one is Archtitl.shx. I searched for those fonts in Googles and the sites offering those fonts for download are not acceptable by my Malware protection software. Is there any place from where  I could have those fonts? I grew up on board. I like those fonts because the fonts resembles Handwritten notes.

Any help?

Hi,

>> I recently migrated from XP to Windows 7

Did you update your operating system or did you do a fresh installation with wiping your harddisk first?

Because just updating your OS should not have removed those SHX-files.

Another option ... don't you have backup's from your old system?

And again another option ... if you have used command _ETRANSMIT to send your projects to someone else you might find these SHX-files in one of those ZIP-files.

Answer to First question:

I believe the gentleman installed 7 has wiped the Drive clean. I had to re-install all my software

Answer to second question.:

I had back-up. Unfortunately that disk crashed. I had to spend about $1,000 to recover that disk. Most of Cad drawins were messed up.

The third question:

I never thought of that. I have some old zip files and let me try. That is a very good suggestion.

Thank you and that is why I love this forum.

I had some old zip files. I saw the fonts under the style. But I do not see
them on Font file. How do I transfer the font file?

Hi,

>> But I do not see them on Font file.

Sorry, if you don't find SHX files in your ZIP you don't have the fonts.

I have found 2 fonts you are looking for, at least with the name you mentioned, not sure that these are really the correct files, maybe these files help you ...

PS: I would not have payed money for repairing a disk if nothing was repaired.

I was able to down load the fonts from 2015 Forum discussion and it is
working now.

Many many thanks for the suggestion.

Hi Group,

I'd be grateful to a link to find this (perhaps outdated) font.

My colleague is using it, and I'd like to work with him on team project.

Kindly,

If by "this" you mean one of those mentioned in Message 1, are the attachments in Message 5 not right?  If not, can't your colleague supply it to you?
