Any recomendations for a nesting solution in AutoCad? We have a circuilar piece of material and need to cut simple squares / rectangles but also some more cut complex shapes and need a quick visual that can orientate the shapes in the most economic way. Any help would be much appreciated.

This is a bit outside of Autocad Swimlane.

You will have better luck using a tools outside autocad and mimicking the results.

What you are asking requires a lot of recursive analysis.    Something like the tool below may get you on your way:

Autodesk has a nesting tool but it only works with Inventor: https://www.autodesk.com/products/inventor-nesting/overview?plc=PDCOLL&term=1-YEAR&support=ADVANCED&...

Sorry but I do not understand the responses here.

I thought you wanted a way to calculate how many shapes could be cut out of a piece of material.

Are you asking for something else?
