Need some help with a plotting issue. I need to plot my drawing on a letter size sheet, it's a transverse section of a house, so the drawing should fit well. I drew on meters but I need to print on a but the sheet size is on inches and whenever I go and do the scale thing with "Z" and then "1/XXxp" my drawing almost disapears because of how tiny it becomes. The red circle is the thing I need to plot, and there's also the pagesetup settings. Thx in advance guys

Thanks for your CAD dwg sample...

  • Check PROP 1 layout ... i modify pagesetup for mm unit paper size to meet you model units.
  • now you can get the right Scale  1:1 by Z(s)= 1xp .

Please get back if you need any more help.

check the CAD dwg file 👇

TYSM, what was the problem?
And, so if I want to scale on 1:75 what command should I use?

  • The problem was in VP size ( X = 0.27302,  Y = 0.20952 ).
  • You can set the scale from the status bar scale option as shown in below image OR you can select the VP itself without command and press the blue arrow.
  • Also, you can select the VP itself then Ctrl+1 to be able to change the scale(Misc section)
  • The idea is that you must have units matching with all of your CAD components( Model,Layout, VP Scale ...etc)

So, the fact that the paper is on mm won't affect when printing?

Still can't manage to make the drawing fit on the sheet, its still a bit small (Im useless ig).

Viewports treat like a window for your model part that you want to print ... If you want to fit it in the paper try with 1:50 (2xp)
