My flanged plate needs another flange.

I have and Alclad plate with a mounting flange on each side. To improve the rigidity, I want to put a folded flange at each end (not for mounting).

Just before the sheety bends the material, the sheety must drill a 5/64 inch hole in the 90 degree corner at each end where it will be bent for relief purposes. The flange is bent to 90 degrees with an inside radius of >3x matl thickness.

Can you help me put the steps together to get it right? See attached DWG file.

Thank you.

The part you attached is not uniform thickness?

Autodesk Inventor has Sheet Metal tools that aid in avoiding mistakes like this and will automate the creation of the flanges for you (this part would take about 5 minutes).

Students can get Inventor for free here http://www.autodesk.com/edcommunity
