Multileader Text leader grip unable to select to move

Hello Everybody,

I have a user having a problem with multileader text leader grip.  The problem is that the grip at the leader for the multileader text cannot be dragged or moved, it highlights or activates red, but unable to move it.  Other users can, but since this user can't, all multileader text are exploded down to leaders and basic text, which on some sheets there is a lot of annotation.  The multileader text and leaders are placed in paperspace.  This user has closed the drawing and restarted autocad, that didn't work, and the graphics card is the same as the other users, if that matters.

Now since this is happening, multileader text styles have an issue and want to go back to leader command with single line text.

Any thought would be great!

Thanks in advance...

Ugh! The dreaded Explode word....

Can you submit a ScreenCast to let us see what's going on?

As I understand it, the grip can be made 'hot' (red) but then it won't move at all, or does it move, but go back to where it was?

Does this happen on all drawings or just one?

- Have the user start a New drawing, without a template. Place some MLeaders in there to see if they work on a 'virgin' drawing.

- Also try turning off (or on) Graphics Hardware Acceleration and see if that helps.

Oh. And it may be your company's standards to put annotation in PaperSpace, and I don't want to throw a wrench into your workflows, but it's a general consensus that Leaders (and really, anything associated with modelspace entities) should go in ModelSpace with the entities they are associated with. It really makes life easier. I know some don't agree, but most do, I believe.

If it's a 3D model, then that's another can of worms.

Hardin,

Thanks for the reply...

Yes the grip is hot but unable to drag it...I checked my graphics acceleration and it is on, turning it off didn't recreate it, but the other users system may be different - the user is out today...

Paperspace annotation - I know....I know...
