Missing Menu's, tool bars and everything!

I researched and could find only similar, not exact.

All toolbars missing and menu missing.

I can not access 'reset default settings'. Opening AutoCAD, the only  two

tabs that show are 'File' and 'Edit.

When I click on 'Autodesk' for AutoCAD, I do not get the options.

The toolbars and all were okay, but they just did not appared when I recently

opened the program.

Options?

Thank you

jim

Hi @Anonymous,

What version of AutoCAD are you using and on which operating system?

It sounds like the menus have just been unloaded and a reset is likely the easiest way to bring everything back to normal. You should be able to browse in Windows Explorer to fine the Reset Settings to Default.

Mine is stored here for 2016:

C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Autodesk\AutoCAD LT 2016 - English

Hi,

i'm afraid that you launch AutoCAD from a new windows user ( not the user that autocad installed from ) .

Thank you.

May I add that when I opened the program, AutoCAd2007, where the block
pops up that shows the list of workshops on the left side, there were no
workshops listed. I was unable to 'X' out of this and I was only allowed to
click on 'OK'. I clicked on 'OK', the AutoCAD screen came up, and this was
when no toolbars showed.

Anything to comment?

Thank you,

jim

Hi @Anonymous,

Did you really mean AutoCAD 2007? Or, did you mean 2017?  I found this video on YouTube that shows how to load the menus in AutoCAD 2006 which should be similar in 2007.

This just happened to me today as well and on Monday it happened with another co-worker. We both just started using 2018 within the last week, but going back to 2016 for older jobs. I don't know if something is causing a conflict or what.

Hi @dustwitch,

I suggest that you look to see which Windows  updates or hardware drivers just got updated. If you can isolate it to a single update, please uninstall it to see if that returns the functionality.

On my acadR14 it can't find acad.mnc, acad.mns and acad.mnu when they are clearly in the support folder and the path is correct.
