memory limitation?

hi guys,

i'm working with point clouds. is there any physical memory limitation working with autocad. because i had 32gb ram but didnt see over 4 gb for usage by autocad. my computer's os is win7 x64.

Seems to be the opposite effect to what you're having. Anyway, have you tried to install the latest hotfixes?

Are you using the built-in point cloud tools, ReCap, or a third-party tool like CloudWorks or Kubit?

Hello

I don't the limit in memory used by the 64 bits "ACAD.exe" task !

On 8 Gb PC with Win Seven Pro 64 and ACAD/MAP 201X 64bits, I have already used up to 6 Gb ...

I will test soon very large DWGs (NOT Point Cloud) with a 32 Gb PC (HP Z1 Workstation) !

Of course I will share my Infos ...
