List not working in autocad 2017

Hi,

I used to export pionts from autocad to excel. I would create poly line for the points i wanted to get coordinate then I would press list and all the coordinate would appear and then i would copy it to excel but list option doest seem to work in autocad 2017.

when i press list other stuff appears i have attached a picture.

please advise

Normal return of list for a heavy polyline ("2D POLYLINE" / DXF: POLYLINE)

This can also occur if its a 3d polyline. Check properties to confirm its not 3D.

if its 3d use FLATTEN

a 3D-POLYLINE list looks different from 2D-Polyline list result, but of course also different from the list of a polyline (LWPOLYLINE). Kudo

I am checking to see if the excellent answers by others have helped you to understand why the LIST command returns different results.

I suggest you try using LIST on a LWPolyline, a Polyline, and a 3Dpoly to see the differences.

Others have provided the means to convert between the object types.

Please let me know if you need additional information or clarification. Kudos to all the contributors!

plinetype was = 0

I changed plinetype =  1   I can see the list I wanted to see.

I used to get a list of polyline like this

at point X= 58.2564 Y= 395.0000 Z= 0.0000
at point X= 68.8838 Y= 390.0000 Z= 0.0000
at point X= 142.1499 Y= 385.0000 Z= 0.0000
at point X= 163.8318 Y= 380.0000 Z= 0.0000

Now I get, this and not all the points even if I press return
at point X4181.470 Y384.000 Z 0.000

at point X4189.395 Y383.000 Z 0.000

at point X4278.954 Y383.000 Z 0.000

at point X4293.222 Y384.000 Z 0.000

at point X4306.308 Y385.000 Z 0.000

at point X4311.132 Y386.000 Z 0.000 

please help, this is autocad 17 Plinetype 1,2 or  0 does not change anything.
