I wasn't going to say anything, but yes....  The name is a contraction/abbreviation of "LISt Processing" -- see [for example] this.

Put "Customization Guide" into the Search window in Help. Here is what you get in 2016, but it is probably the same in all recent versions.  It covers all those things [except "afralips" which (when spelled correctly) is an independent website -- very helpful about AutoLisp, but not a customization method itself] and more.
