Limits with Tables

I am being challenged with inserting excel spreadsheets as paste special/paste link/ auto entity instead of the previous process of pasting in an ole image of the excel spread sheet


The problem I am find is I am limited on minimum cell heights in the table because when comparing the original object and the table version ... The table version tends to need to be a little larger

I am limited with being able to reduce the cell heights as I reach a limit on the smallest text height vertical margin height

Has anyone else encountered this?

AutoCAD's TABLE object cannot properly represent a complex spreadsheet.
