License checking

Anonymous
Not applicable

When I open AutoCad 2014 or Autocad MEP 2014, it hangs on checking license for about a minute then verifies it and opens the application. On my old computer it would take about 30 seconds. I am running Win 7 enterprise 64 bit. What can I do or check to shorten that checking license process?

Is this a stand-alone installation, or are you all using the server-based network license manager?
And did you by change using the 'export settings" option to move your setup from the old PC to the new PC?

Presuming this a network license issue, how is the LM defined? With an IP address or a hostname? Where is it defined? In a .lic file or via a Windows environment variable (the preferred method)?

This is a server based network license installation. No I did not utilize the export option, I still have the old PC with the configuration on it, should I go back and do export settings?

Where is the license server in regards to yourself? Local or WAN? Do you reference any older license server configurations before the live server?
