Layouts shifting to different printers

Dear All,

How to setup a layout to have exactly the same margins on every printer in the office (and pdf as well). We know how to setup Layouts for an individual printer, but when we want to export to pdf later (DWG to PDF.pc3) it shifts a few millimeters. Changing deafults maring values to 0mm won't help. The same story when we setup a layout for pdf and after we want to print a hardcopy - the layout shifts it's position.

Different printers have different printable margins (and possibly printer shifts defined). Your printer also needs to support barcode printing and the other font/size in question. If you switch device types or printer models on an existing form design, you will usually have problems like this. You can generally make adjustments such that the form design will work for both.

Hi,
Margins aren't the problem (I know how they work). The problem is that when we change the printer, even though the paper size is the same and margnins to both printers are the same (i.e. 0mm) the base point/insert poin/nest (whaterver it's called) is different. So the whole drawing is shifted on the Layer. I have to move it manually (select all + drag to proper position). Looks as this base point is different for every printer....
