I have the model space set to mm, as reference. When i open the layout space it makes everything smaller, like instead of 1800 mm it becomes 180 which is... not good. I've been trying to plot this to have it laser cut but it always appears smaller than it should, and I think this is the issue. How to fix it?

First you have to set up your pagesetup,
command pagesetup or plot (dont forget to use'apply to layout' after your changes.
Select a printer, use DWG to PDF.pc3
Select a Paper which is big enough
Problem: there is no so large paper.
Rightof the printer is a button, use it and set up a custom paper
for the size of your need.
Select this papersize,
Plotarea Extents
Offset center
Plotscale1:1 mm
Apply to layout
[Cancel]
Delete the viewport and create a new one
by command MView<enter>fit<enter>
Select your viewport and change the scale to 1 or 1:1
Start plot [ok]
Read a book or tutorial about layout plot pagesetup..
BTW: Why do you needa plot for laser,
I thought you need to create a DXF file?

Thank you! I think it worked. As to why not DXF: that's what thought too, in our workshop in college we always used DXF. But since I graduated I've had to look for other places and they all ask for PDF. After a lot of messing around I found that plotting got me the best results the last time I tried.
