ISO3098B.SHX not loading in AutoCAD 2017

I recently updated to AutoCAD 2017 and now every time i open a drawing it i get about 8 command messages

"Substituting [simplex.shx] for [ISO3098B.shx]."

I have saved it into my fonts folder and it is the exact same file that has worked for years and currently works on a computer with 2014.

One of the guys here had a work around for 2016 where they used isocp.shx with a different width however when i try to do this I have to change the text styles every time i open a drawing and that is just unworkable.

Does any one know how i can get either the ISO3098B to work or to get the Text Styles to change on all drawings i open?

Hi,

can you please check your support pathes in the options Dialog.

The folder where you save your shx file must be in the support pathes.

Regards Jürgen

I hope my tip helps. If so then give me kudos and mark the tip as a solution.
Thanks.

At the commandline in 2017 enter this exactly as shown:

(findfile "simplex.shx")

AutoCAD will tell you where that font is installed. Move all of your special fonts to that same folder. Restart AutoCAD. Your issue will go away.
