Clipped Xref Not Displaying Properly

Hi,

I'm having an issue with a Xref clip where parts of the Xref outside of the inverted boundary are not displaying. See the following images.

The first image shows the Xref, which only includes the solid grey hatch, and the closed magenta polyline used to clip it.

When the clip is applied, additional triangular areas are also clipped out of the Xref.

I've had this issue in the past, in different drawings with different Xrefs that did not include hatches. I've found a work around, where if I select the Xref and drag one of the clipping vertices to anywhere else, it will alter the part of the Xref not displayed. Sometimes the wedges of of the Xref not displayed disappear completely, and sometimes I have to drag another vertex a short distance to fix it.

This is not an ideal solution though, so I was hoping someone else came across this issue in the past and has a solution or explanation as to why this occurs.

I'm running Civil3D 2017 on Windows 10, if that is helpful. The drawing and Xref are attached if anyone wants to see if they can recreate it.

Thanks for the help in advance.

Hi,

as seen from my attached binded CAD dwg file you will see that it's work fine . i suggest to move your solid hatch first near to 0,0,0 . then you can insert it again as attachment to find that xclip will work fine. see below attachment

Thanks for looking into this imadHabash. The problem with inserting the hatch into the drawing is that it is that the Xref is referenced in multiple drawings and I must be able to update it, so binding it is another work around if I have to update the block in each drawing every time something changes.

I appreciate your efforts though.

Thanks
