Is Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti / 1060 compatible with Autocad?

Hello,

I am about to buy a new graphic card because my GTX 1050 seems to be incompatible with any Autocad versions i've tried.
Can anyone tell me if the gtx 1050 ti or the 1060 works?

Hi,

I have installed a GTX 1070 OC currently and it's working fine/I'm happy with that.

As this is the same driver as 1050/1060 it should also work with these graphic cards.

Why do you think that it's the graphic card which creates these crashes?

There could be so many more reasons ...

I've had many time VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE nvlddmkm.sys (blue screen). But everything is up to date on my computer, my graphic card, my autocad. I've tried many 2017, 2018 and 2019 of Autocad, and old releases of Nvidia 1050.

Every other softwares work very well (revit, Photoshop etc) except Autocad.
I cannot even open another software while using autocad or it will start freezing.

Hi,

blue screen means hardware defect.

Update your graphic card driver, if that does not help you'll need to change your graphic card or may be mother board.

if Revit and Photoshop works good do not hurry to replace graphics card. 

google for "video_tdr_failure nvlddmkm.sys" there are some articles about this issue.

Okay. I've looked and tried many different things and don't know how to fix this problem. I already went to a repair shop and they couldn't find the issue.

I already checked windows updates.

I've already tried updating my graphic card from the device manager and from nvidia website.
I've changed Autocad versions about 5 or 6 times

I've rebooted all computer and reinstalled all my programs.

I really don't know what to do now...

Is your workstation young enough so you have guarantee?

Just to make sure ... do you speak about one workstation or - as you wrote "all computer" - are you referring to multiple workstations with the same effect?

Yes my computer is only a year old, and i meant i rebooted my whole computer, as if it was new.

I'm not a fan of 3rd party tools like "This tool knows all drivers from all hardware and solve all issues and ...", but if you are willing to maybe reinstall the whole computer with a fresh operating system you might try it.

Hello!

I have an Acer Nitro 5 laptop, it has a GTX 1050 4Gb. When I use AutoCAD whit the laptop plugged it works apparently fine (really it´s not the performance I expected, but works fine), the problem appears when I use it unplugged, because there is many lag, it's very annoying working like that, you can see the lag only watching mouse when you move it around the screen, it flickers all the time.

I have to disable the GTX driver to use the "Intel UHD Graphics 630" and works fine, the mouse doesn't flicker never, but I bought this laptop because of the GTX graphics card.

It's very sad...I want to ask you. What do you think about this? if you have a laptop, What happens when you use it unplugged?

You might test different power levels for your graphic card, if it goes into a power save mode when you unplug your laptop that might be a reason why all looks slower.

I would look to the energy settings for the power unplugged mode.

This laptop has a program called Nitro Sense, this software allows to change the Energy Plan, I have tried putting it on High Performance and it doesn't change nothing, it is slow anyway. If you know where else to look to change the settings I will thank you for your cooperation.

No sorry, i wish i could tell you i found a way to solve my problem.. In the end, I had to buy a new computer just because Autocad wasn't working well.. it's such a shame

Hello everybody!

I want to tell you that I have found a solution for my trouble. It was the next.

In the app GeForce Experience there is a tool called BATTERY BOOST at the tab Games, it was set at 30 FPS to save battery when using the laptop unplugged, so I disabled this option and wow!! problem solved.

I sent my laptop to the Acer center for warranty and they just re-install Windows and nothing was solved... thanks to God I found the solution, it was making me crazy.
