Invalid Point

I am trying to draw a simple Pline at 0,0.

when I typed PL in the commend line

(Specify starting point:) I typed in 0,0.

It says Invalid Point.

this also happens when I do the window select. ( I just cant click out in space It has to be a object snap.

Also when I do the move command.

I am working in autocad 2015 and I am getting the same frustrating error in 2013. Im thinking it has to be somek ind of setting the the drawing.

long fix is just shutting down autocad and open it back up and it works fine. But I dont want to have to do that every time.

Any thoughts?

The next time this happens start a new drawing and try it again (you can keep the current drawing open in the meantime), does it happen in the new drawing too?

Also try to turn off object snap (<F3>).

I opened a new drawing. same result.

When use the line command it keeps saying Point or option keyword required. ( This is with Object snap turned off)

It is looking for an object snap to snap to...

Which application/tools/plugins do you have installed on top of AutoCAD?

If you have one or more, let us know which ones.

If you don't have any customization then try to reset the settings to default (>>>click<<<), but first make sure your AutoCAD is updated with the latest service pack.
