I cannot see road markings in autocad that were done in key lines.

Hi,

 As much as i understand ... I think that your drawing lost an attached xref . type XREF command .. and make a screenshot for the dialog ( Palette )  and post it here ?

As noted by others you have either frozen layers or missing XREFs, or your other content got erased.
