Hyperlinks Opening in TrueView Not Current Session

I have a hyperlink in a template file then when followed is supposed to open a sample drawing. When the link is selected it opens the DWG in TrueView and NOT the current autocad/civil 3d session that is open.

I have checked file association and everything I could find online to no avail. Does anyone know why this is doing this?

I am using AutoCAD\Civil 3D 2020.

The path is set in the attached picture, it just flashes so the screen shot did not pick it up...

The DWG file opening in the wrong program has a lot more to do with this post https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Double...

Uninstalling DWGTRUEVIEW will for sure take care of it, or expose the root cause of the redirect.

Hi, I do the same think but I have a welcome drawing that loads with links to various templates. If multiple sessions of CAD are opened and I click on a link it launch in the first open CAD session. I dont not know of a work around for this yet.
If you only have one sessions of CAD opened, and clicking your link opens a new session of CAD thats typically tied to a poor imaged computer. The order of operations the software is installed can affect CAD, typically I found that its better to install CAD after the image.
