Hi @Anonymous,
Hyperlinks work in AutoCAD similar to hyperlinks in other programs. If a user clicks on the link it will open a new document or page whose address is contained in the hyperlink (URL).
It can also be used to take the viewer to a pre-defined view of the drawing or even provide an email address.
Attached is a Screencast that inserts a Hyperlink to an existing object. When the user selects the link, an external drawing whose address is in the hyperlink is opened.

Check this page..
Use a Hyperlink to Access a File or a Web Page (AutoCAD 2010 Help)
(exactly as you clicked n the previous link and went to a new page, you can instore such links in autocad objects, so that when you control+click on thwm you go to a designated file or webpage)
It seems @john.vellek answered while I was writing 🙂
He even went the extra mile and created a screen cast for you.. Thank you on John behalf of those hwo are asking the same question..
Good luck 🙂
