You can trim the hatch but it must be non-associative to do so, I believe.

Hi,
Please find this video for how to trim a hatch.
Also shown in that video that the hatch can be associative and it will also be after using TRIM on it.

That's impossible to say without knowing what you are doing, exactly. Can you post a screencast, or a small sample drawing containing a Hatch pattern that you are not able to Trim and the cutting edge(s) that you can't Trim it to?
A possibility: Is the Hatch pattern in question in the same or a parallel plane as the cutting edge(s)?
