I'm not sure if I understand your question right.

Maybe the Screencast https://autode.sk/2BY55oX helps you. (BTW: If your line is horizontal, you can type a Reference Angle = 0, in the video I picked 2 points).

Hello, I don't understand either your question, so you can use this command SNAPANG and XLINE to get the angle. Thanks Smiley Wink

thanks for your reply

I dont want to rotate the base line because it is horizontal (its dimencion is fixed = 1500). I want to move this line so it can intersect in the angle and create a triangle.

thanks for replying

I am sorry but I am a newbie!

I am attaching what I want to do

I want to move the base line up so it can touch the 2 other lines so they can create an triangle. I must not rotate the base line(the exercise demands this line to be horizontal and its length to be 1500)

thanks for your time

You can eliminate a step in the procedure in Message 6.  [I did it here by Copying the right-side angled Line rather than the left as in the screencast, but the principle is the same.]  You don't need to Move the one Line twice.  Step 0 below is initial conditions, with the endpoints of the red Line being A and B.  Just [step 1] copy one of the Lines forming the bend [here the yellow one] using B to A for the Copy displacement [or A to B if you Copy the cyan one], and [step 2] Move the red Line from A to the intersection of that [yellow] copy with the other [cyan] bend Line.

Then erase the temporary yellow Line.
