Hardware accelearation says my video card is intel and not nvidia

I have a laptop with gtx 1060 6gb and when i turned on graphic acceleration it says my hardware cant handle it and when i view the settings in the video card part it says intel hd graphics and not the gtx 1060 i tried configuring using the nvidia control panel and right clicking it and run it on using nvidia graphics but still it did not change any ideas how to change this?

try to disable the intel graphics under device manager in windows. so the computer can only pick the nvidia card. my question is why does it have 2 graphic cards? i'm confused by this.

I see that you are visiting as a new member to the AutoCAD forum. Welcome to the Autodesk Community!

 

 This can be frustrating and tricky to remedy.  Which OS are you using and which graphics driver?  The articles provided by @Alfred.NESWADBA are the same ones I would suggest as well.

 

Can you share a screen capture of your GRAPHICSCONFIG window?

It's a graphic chipset, part of the cpu, so you don't need a extra graphic card.
