hi,
I wanted to hollow out a shape I have, so its only the sides of the rectangle that are remaining, with nothing inside of the object
How do I do that?
Thanks

here it is. I want the center of the box to be empty, and the sides only make up the shape of the box.
Hi,

Create a second smaller box, building the volume that should be "empty" and use command _UNION to subtract the smaller object from your box.

Hi,
>> is there a way to just click a button
Command SHELL also has a button ... have you looked for it?

Shell hollow an object with same thickness, subtract cut the interior out. I can't open your drawing with old autocad version so those 2 commands are the commands to use.
Hi,
>> when I use shell, it tells me to erase one of my sides,
Just press <ENTER> and no face is removed
One tip additionally ... try <F1>, this shows the help, how to use the object and all options.

could you help me do it? im not sure if im doing it right. if you want it in an older version let me know
Hi,

I don't see a question, you know the command (which can be typed into the command-line), you know the position of the icon where to start it, you know how to read about the command in the help, what does not working as you expect, or what do you expect?
Here a video that shows how the command is working with your object:
