How to get rid of mouse wheel double click zoom command

This command has somehow gotten to the point where I don't even have to click the mouse wheel twice. I'll go to pan the camera around and hold the mouse wheel, and then the camera just zooms out. This is starting to drive me insane. If anyone knows how to get rid of this shortcut, I would appreciate it IMMENSELY!

Edit: I just now realized it also zooms out if I hold the wheel down for too long. However, I still would like to delete the shortcut if it's at all possible

Not an option AFAIK unless your mouse driver has a solution.
You may need a different mouse that is less sensitive in the meantime.

Yeah, there is something wrong with your mouse if it's not a muse driver settings: doesn't do that here, never has.

That does sound like a mouse whose wheel button is registering twice with only one click or with click-&-hold.

As for turning off the Zoom-Extents function of double-clicking it, the question has come up before.  Search this Forum, and perhaps the Customization Forum too, and if there's a solution or workaround, you should find it [but like @pendean, I'm not aware of one].

Appreciate it. Oddly enough, my mouse stopped doing it as of now.

I found the same problem, with my mouse, it stems from the mouse wheel having a sideways click facility, for horizontal scrolling of the screen, which is interpreted as zoom in or zoom out somehow, I'm not sure how as there doesn't seem to be a setting for it. However if you go into your mouse control (Control panel on computer, not in CAD) and switch off the horizontal scroll for the mouse wheel then it should work.

In your mouse software, increase the double-click time so that is no longer an issue, if disabling double-click in the middle button is not an option in that mouse driver.

Double-clicking the wheel is a WindowsOS feature, try it in other programs and see: perhaps there is an OS switch for it somewhere

Nothing inside AutoCAD does it.
