How to Geometric constraint an endpoint of a line to the edge of a circle

How can I constraint an endpoint of a line to the edge of a circle. I want to be able to move the other endpoint of the circle while the other stays on the circle no matter what. The only option I get is to constraint it to the center of the circle. What am I not seeing here?

You can get a pretty good approximate result by creating a very small circle with a constrained size and apply a tangent constraint between it and the main circle.  Then add a constraint between the end of the line and the center of the circle.

I'll try it, but I'm hoping it's just possible as I intented, just like it is possible in Inventor sketch mode.

  1. Given the circle and line already drawn.
  2. Constrain lock the circle.
  3. Constrain parametrize the circle radius.
  4. Constrain the line's endpoint to the circle by selecting the line's endpoint and then choose object before choosing the circle.  This is the key step.
  5. If you want the line to also be tangent, add a tangent constraint between the circle and the line.

Selecting object when constraining the end point to the circle was exactly what I needed.. thanks
