How to generate excel sheet while measuring on the cad drawing.

i am doing quantity take-off using autocad 2017 version,. is there any way I can generate tables while measuring on the drawing?Something that tables are on the drawing itself.

The DATAEXTRACTION command can generate tables based on data in the drawing. I can be a little bulky sometimes but its quite useful. Might take a few tries before you get the table you want.

If you are just looking to sum lengths or something along those lines you can insert a nest field into table you insterted into your drawing. (this might be a little tedious as you will have to build the formula as you go)

If all you need is to count blocks you can look into BCOUNT, but you will have to populate the table manualy
