How do you crop an image at an angular line?

So I'm designing a board game and have come to adding in my background images that I've made. I want to crop the image at the 45 degree angle made by the square board so that the images do not overlap. I've attached a capture to show what I mean.

Can anyone help?

You may consider making the image a GIF or PNG which supports transparency.  This would enable tcropping to any shape.

Chun íomhá a bhearradh ag líne uilleach, ní mór duit ar dtús uirlis eagarthóireachta íomhá a úsáid mar Adobe Photoshop nó GIMP. Oscail an íomhá, roghnaigh an uirlis bearrtha, agus socraigh an uillinn is mian leat a bharr. Le haghaidh coigeartuithe beachta, bain úsáid as treoracha nó línte greille chun ailíniú leis an líne uilleach. Ar deireadh, cuir an barr i bhfeidhm. Chun tuilleadh eolais a fháil ar uirlisí eagarthóireachta íomhá, is féidir leat cuairt a thabhairt ar seo https://hmcasinoseireann.com/casino/casumo-casino-review. Is féidir le do chuid scileanna maidir le híomhánna a ghearradh a fheabhsú trí acmhainní dá leithéid a iniúchadh.
