How can I disable this Sky/Horizon in model view?

How can I disable this Sky/Horizon in model view? I don't need to see a horizon when I rotate some mechanical part.

Is it possible to set an omni-directional light source?

BACKGROUND command may help if you select None type .

There are two ways to do this:

1. Use the Display tab in your OPTIONS to change the Colors (button) while in 3D Projection. If you do this I'd recommend setting a new profile current so you can always go back if you want.

2. Use the VIEW command to create a view with a solid color BACKGROUND - set that view current. Like #1 above you want to create a separate view with the DEFAULT background so you can switch back.

#1 is good for your COMPUTER (All drawings), #2 is good for the current DRAWING (But if you do it in your template it will be good across all drawings you use that template for.

Click Render tab System panel Autodesk Rendering .
Click the Environments tab, go to the Sky panel. If the controls are not active, you need to turn on the sun light first.
If you want to magnify the effect of the sky light, change the value in the Intensity Factor field.
Move the Haze slider to adjust amount of haze in the air. The range is from 0 (a completely clear day) to 15 (extremely overcast, or sandstorm in Sahara).
Move the Horizon Height slider to tune the position of the horizon. This affects not only the visual representation of the horizon (ground plane) but also the point where the sun 'sets'.
Move the Blur slider to adjust the amount of blurring between ground plane and sky.
Click the Color picker in the Night Color field, and set the desired value. This is the minimum color of the sky - the sky will never become darker than this value.
Click the Color picker in the Ground Color field, and set the desired value. This will be the color of the virtual ground plane.

I'm using Mac version of AutoCAD 2022 and there does not appear to be a "Background" command at all.  😕

Try this (I got it from Google):

To change the background color in AutoCAD for Mac, you can do the following:

1. Type OPTIONS on the command line
2. Click the Look & Feel tab in Application Preferences
3. Click the Modelspace menu and select the desired color
4. Click OK
