How can i decrease the size of an array path in AutoCad

Hello there,

I am drawing a solution to stabilize a slope with nails. The spacing between the nails was accomplished with the array cmd. I used the path option to draw it. Initially I Had 17 items, but i just need 6 items so i edited the array, but the path, or the corresponding line that makes the connection between the items is still with the same size as before, with 17 items. My question is since i already know how can i edit the number of the items, how can i after that decrease the lentgh of the path. Here is a picture that shows what i am trying to say:

No picture shown but I will suggest that you may not have made your path array Associative.  If the path is Associative (on the Array ribbon when creating the array but not after array is created) your number of items will increase or decrease as you alter your path contour.

Hope this helps,

Blaine
