TRANSPARENT HATCH

Once I set my transparency in my hatch and everything is good, once I close out my drawing and open it up again at a later time the transparency in my hatch resets itself and and is back to 0, why is this? Does it not save your setting number so you don't have rest it every time you open you drawing?

I work autocad 2018

Hi,

please start command _OPTIONS, go to tab Open and Save ... what DWG-Format have you set as default format?

(make sure it's the current format!)

Hi,

Well, you have found the reason, AutoCAD 2000 was far away from knowing "transparent objects". These were introduced in later AutoCAD releases.

My suggestion: Never ever save your working projects in not-current dwg format, as you can see you destroy part of your content.

AutoCAD 2000 did not have that feature, so you can't save to that format if you want to use it.
