Hide objekt over z = xx in layout

I want to make all object over a certain Z level invisible i the layout.

How?

Johan,

 

You can do that by using a 'Section Plane' From the 3D modeling Home tab and setting it to a Volume. This Volume can be adjusted in Width, Lenght and Height. You als have to activate 'Live sectioning' Bij Rightclicking the Ection plane symbol.

You can use DVIEW and its CLip option.  If the Z coordinate of the TArget point is 0 and the CAmera point is straight above that, the CLip option with the Front sub-option, and a distance at [or perhaps just below] your "certain Z level," will make everything above that level invisible.  Use the Back sub-option to make everything under a certain level invisible.
