After our company upgraded servers, AutoCAD 2014 has been hesitating when moving between different functions -- i.e. there may be a 20-second delay after clicking the file/open button before the machine becomes responsive. Once in design mode, it works fine until I switch to another function like printing, where I may get another hesitation.
Coworker seemed to think this was something they'd seen before, and that it was tied to the printer port -- that ACAD was hesitating in looking for the old location, even if it was with non-printing-related functions. I have not found the ability to change the printer port in PC3 settings (it's grayed out), although it looks to me as if the IP address of the printer is correct.
I've tried creating a new PC3 configuration, with no effect, and have tried temporarily removing all of the old PC3 files and restarting, with no effect. I'm wondering if it is not printer port related. Two other coworkers are on ACAD 2000, I'm the only one in 2014.
We're directory-based with 3D and 2D files on 2 server directories, but I believe the settings are local to my computer.
Any thoughts on what could be causing occasional lagging after the server replacement? Basically it was new server hardware, but a clone of the old, with a new server address.
