Help needed please!!!!!

i have uploded 1.dwg , 2.dwg and a 1.png i have shown the area i want to make it invisible on hideit or anything. ???  inside my layout..  

i need to command to hide and to unhide ...

please help me .

The image is too small to understand what you're after.  But XCLIP not only lets you hide part of a Block [or Xref, and there are similar commands for other object types], but also gives you your hide/unhide switching with its On/Off options.

@pullstackautocad can confirm but the way I see it, the 2 areas surrounded by the thick white box lines are to be hidden

@paullimapa If that's true, and @pullstackautocad  owns the titleblock, then they can just put those entities on a separate layer and turn the layer on/off. Or, they can make those parts as separate blocks.

Those are all good possible solutions...although I still prefer the xclip method which does not require edits on the block and also as @Kent1Cooper stated that xclip does offer the on/off option as well.

Sorry the reason behind is to hide,   i have to give the dwg to my staff, so they shouldnot be able to look the logo.. before giviing them the dwg i want to hide the rectangle part, and as i recieved back the dwg i want to unhide the rectangle part

Hi,

you can't create items inside the drawing which are invisible to others as long as these know how to use AutoCAD (at least how to use DXF).

What you might do is to create an external DWG-file without these hidden parts, and use this DWG-file as XRef, anyone opening the drawing with this XRef will only see what you created in that file. Forward this file (Xref) together with the main file to the users.

You can create a second file containing the invisible part, also use this file as XRef, so when you open the drawing on your system both XRef's are found and therefor visible, while the others, only having one XRef, can't see the "other part".

SCNR ... strange reason as you are referring to "my staff".

The best method is to make another CAD dwg sheet frame file after erasing all unwanted items then send this file for your staff. They can use it after inserted to drawings as an Xref. when you reach for final stage or a certain point, you can replace the xref with the sheet frame with all info.

I see you embedded those logo images into the dwg so that they're now OLE objects:

If you don't want your staff to see those logos, then one way is to don't embed the logos but attach them as images with absolute path from your local drive.

In this example I placed the image file in a subfolder under Documents called @the Office:

"C:\Users\PauLpc\Documents\@The Office\A-Z Youtuber Academy.png"

Then when your staff opens the dwg from their computer, AutoCAD will not find that image file since your staff cannot access your local drive.

When the dwg opens it'll look like this:

And because the images have color 255 assigned to them then when the dwg is printed to pdf there would not be anything shown:

Best if you want to hide only part of the drawing (freeform area)

Hide:

1. Type WIPEOUT

2. Choose Polyline

3. Draw a closed shape over the area to hide

4. Type WIPEOUTFRAME → 0 (to hide wipeout border)

Really? Every user can delete the wipeout and so see what was hidden.

The job to do was the users should not be able to see this! WIPEOUT is not a solution for that.

actually we received 20 dwg files everday , creating xref or deleting logos, and then give drawing to staff,  finalise it and put logo back on it takes lots of times... please help me with best of the best soultion plz.

best solution in my mind (sorry if this reads like blaming, but is not meant this way!) ... trust (and train) your staff and you won't have any work to do with hiding/unhiding.

Other option would be to write a small app (or let it write for you), so it's a one button click for hide and another one for unhide (or recreate).

If writing an app (or letting do this from someone knowing how to write plugins for AutoCAD) is not a valid workflow for you, then XRef is in my opinion the only way to be save with "no one else can see special content).

if we can just delete the all text expect the table and the above text shown on the rectangle , make a temp file on that folder . is it possible..

Hi @pullstackautocad 

A good way for me is to create a layer or layers for the elements that you want to hide, and, delete the layer with LAYDEL command (It will remove the layer even if it contains elements).
