HELP Layer properties with red X over it

Has any one seen this and why does it happen?!?!?!?!?!!??!?!

Check if your 3DCONFIG is turned on. I guess it the problem with the graphics as its taking time to refresh screen.

Hmm. I still suspect the problem is due to graphic card, try updating the drivers. meanwhile Try the Classic view. Type in command CLASSICLAYER.

Ill try that, but its a brand new computer only about a month on it. With some power behind it might I add.
