Hello, My grid lines are not showing. In drafting settings the paremeters are set correctly in terms of x and y spacing and a heavy line every forth instance. F7 on and off does not do anything. In the settings if i change to dots they show up ???.

Hi,

Toggling OFF / ON hardware acceleration from GRAPHICSCONFIG command may make differences . if not fixed please try to check updates from your Autodesk Desktop App . What is your CAD version ?

>> In the settings if i change to dots they show up

can we see this action by a screenshot please ?

Hello, graphicsconfig did not work. If I  start a new drawing the grid lines will show up, however, in others existing files there must a setting or variable that has been triggered. I am new at this forum and dont know how to do a requested screen shot. Basically the system gridlines are not showing up. Thanks

Hi, I followed your image and this triggers the dots to show up. If I do not toggle the dot paremeter the grid does not show up ???

Explore checking and unchecking this box (see image below)to get the effect you desire, otherwise this might be a good time to start posting screenshots from your desktop showing what you want/do not want.

You use this tool to capture it then save it to an image https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/13776/windows-10-use-snipping-tool-to-capture-screenshots

Then come to the website and post it like you did your DWG file earlier.

After long tries and attempts , i think that you have a corrupted file ( i can only get dotted grids NOT lines ) !!! i suggest to copy and paste all of your contents to a new CAD dwg .

Insert brings up the block insert, I bring in the old drawing and have to explode it. All of the above mentioned styles, groups, and views dont come with the drawing I inserted. Thanks

>> I bring in the old drawing and have to explode it

while INSERT dialog is active notice the lower left Explode box .

>> All of the above mentioned styles

all used styles will come with inserted contents .

>> groups, and views dont come with the drawing

you can get layout views by right click on your layout icon and select From template... and get your old layout tabs .

You have an excited CAD dwg file , I'm still looking in it . 🙂

Set SNAPANG to zero (0).  Notice that the information below says if SNAPANG is set to other than zero the grid lines will not display.

If views dont arrive with the insert I will have to redo. The dimstyle, textstyle and layer filters do not arrive either. Thanks
