Get Unreferenced Images Back?

Anyone know if it's possible to get images that were deleted in model space (but not detached) back into model space?

It seems like probably not, and that the DWG is just storing the image record in the external reference table, but all other info is lost. Kind of a pity - would be nice if all that data was retained.

If you still have the image files on your computer or network you can select it in the reference dialog, then select the three dots button on the lower right and browse to the file and select it. It will insert at the same location and scale as it was.

What happens if you try to reload the images?

nope - tried that. hard path, relative path, no path, refreshing...

if that's working on your end, maybe it's because my images were all clipped.  maybe??

no go - i think deleting the entity wipes out any data associated with it (i.e. - scale, clipping, ins point etc)
