This behaviour does not happens when i selct even a huge drawings but created from scratch

i formatted the laptop, checked the hardware , reinstalled the software and updated drivers, but no luck so far

My autocad version is 2021, does anybody know some trick to solve this headhake?

Please explain in more detail what you mean by "...i need to select the layer created..." please.
Do you manually save after the PDF import? Is the PDF import converted or is it just an image?

ABOUT command says what about your 2021 version details?

Hi, thanks for you answer, the version is the R.47.0.0

I made a mistake sorry, i meant that i try to select the PDF imported vector objects (i'm not the final user, so i don't know the exact meaning of all terms, sorry)

The file has been saved locally after the pdf importation, and is a single layer PDF with a building project

i hope it is clear enough, please tell me if you need some more infos, and thanks again for the support

R.47.0.0 means you do not have any updates installed: get the latest installed (then restart your PC) from your account page here https://manage.autodesk.com/cep/#products-services/updates

If that does not solve it, you may have this issue https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Slow-p...

hi @pendean  thanks for your comment, I feel a little bit shamy because i thought that autocad would auto update itself 😄 i updated from r47 to r156 and the issue seems to be solved. I asked to my colleague to check with his large file and send me a report, as soon as I will receive it, i'll forward in this thread and mark the solution as accepted

No worries, lots of folks think that, but Autodesk makes you the user own all of the updates actions, a 30+year habit that will never change.

Glad it worked.
