Curious how the missing SANSSERIF font alert only shows up in Adobe Acrobat but not in any other PDF viewer I have on my computer, even when I open your PDF in webbrowsers like EDGE and Chrome here.

Can you test that at your end too?

Probably should add that the Microsoft PDF creator still works

What else changed on your PC/system since this started showing up?
Do all of your DWG files do this, or just this one?

When you installed R2020, did you make use of the migrate feature, aka brought the problem along into R2020 from R2018 by chance?

What if you use all the other 5-PDF drivers in R2020?

What if you use a 3rd party PDF driver?

I have no idea why Adobe Acrobat cannot find the font when the other PDF viewers can (see below) other than some old posts that seem to identify a possible character issue in your text

thanks for working with me on this

yes the other pdf creators work - just not the dwg to pdf

and I should have thought about the migration..(kick myself ) but yes I brought it along

i may uninstall and reinstall later tonight to see what happens

All my drawings are doing this.. nothing changed - unless one of those automatic updates happened

I try not to use third party anything as its the first thing people point to when something else goes wrong

but .....

Resetting R2020 may be all that you need to do, here is how https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/learn-explore/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to-r...

Then ensure you have the 2020.1.5 update installed https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/learn-explore/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2020/ENU/AutoC...

Also, if DWGTOPDF continues to be a problem, then just use one of the other PDF drivers bundled in AutoCAD: "general documentation" one is good for most users' needs. There is a reason for 5 PDF drivers after all 😉
