File with many lines started freezing

I'm working on a project for my bachelors degree and I started having problems that are not allowing me to work on the file anymore.
After drawing "one line too much", like some treshold was reached, application started to freeze on drawing lines, moving cursor with the line command, selecting, a bit on zooming and it's a huge issue because I'm barely halfway there with the project and it's taking a lot more time now to do anything.
I'm working on Archicad Students Edition 2019, had a 18MB file that I cleaned a bit but saving again gave me 20MB file which I attached below - next save 14MB for some reason. What's weird is that I don't have an option to save the file in 2019 version, 2018 is the latest one in the popup.
My laptop resources are not used too much at all while working on the file so it doesn't seem to be a machine issue, but I'm posting specs below.
Problem doesn't exist while working on a new project.
Is there anything I can do with the settings or with the file to get back to normal? If needed I'll provide all the information needed in diagnosis.

Attaching another file that I've worked on, it's also quite big, might be even bigger, but the issue doesn't exist in this case.
Sorry for posting one after another but I no longer can edit other posts after a moment...

@imadHabash thank you for your time and sorry, I've been using AutoCAD Students Edition, not Archicad, was just too tired after an extensive amount of time working on the project and trying to fix the issue so I made a typing mistake. Anyway, I think that you can see by the extension format of the files I attached that I was talking about AutoCAD.

Did you draw this content? You (or someone) used EXPLODE command on everything, you basically have a total mess of a drawing database that is very much useless for CAD drafting. That is your primary problem, you removed all intelligence from the file, this file is basically garbage for CAD users.

You can try a purge, audit, and overkill...  audit has 245 errors.

Yes, I drew this content, I didn't use the EXPLODE command, should I group stuff more? I'm attaching the file in which I grouped the whole plans since I don't need it as much and as @parkr4st suggested I grouped the polylines in the section to eliminate as many polylines as possible. The current situation is that I have a lot less freezing, which is amazing so thanks a lot for your help! Is there anything that I can still do to eliminate freezing totally?
@s.borello Yeah I tried audit/purge/overkill on a copy of the project, I didn't notice any change.

Your file went from 20mb to 14 after an overkill, purge and audit.  It was less laggy as well.  Good luck.

Someone exploded your original posted a2przekroj.dwg file, or you imported a file from another program (or variant of AutoCAD that got exploded for you), you drew each and every pattern the hard way with copy and array commands and spend days and weeks doing it, like this for example

And that is why your original posted a2przekroj.dwg file is so sluggish: AutocAD is having to track all these individual items

Your latest file adds groups and restores imported blocks for the floor plan I see, so my guess is you're not quite sure how to reference in a floor plan using XREF command to draw your elevations?

Your two files need to be fixed, and there is a size reduction to remove unused bulk: but your drafting method with exploded hatches and "walls" and "doors" is one of the bigger problems.

What are your PC specs? And brand/make/model?
