Anyone familiar with what might be causing this particular fatal?  This happens regularly for multiple users when running 'saveas' a 2nd time (because we have to save the drawing to two locations).

Hi @Anonymous,

I am sorry that you are seeing these errors. Did they just start happening recently? If so, what might have changed in your environment?

Which version of AutoCAD are you using and does this happen on all files?  You say it happens when you do the second Saveas. Is the second one always to the same location? Please describe your network configuration for me so I can help nail down what might be happening. If you have a sample file to share on a post that might be helpful as well.

Hi @Anonymous,

Is this problem continuing? I haven't seen an update from you. Please answer the questions in my previous post so I can help get this resolved for you.

Try turning of incremental save and I have seen setting isavepercent value to 0 helped during save or saveas to a network drive.

Apologies for the delay.  The problem does persist.

We are using the 2017 release AutoCAD Mep w/ Fabrication MEP.

The save locations are different sub folders within job folders on a network drive.  However, I got the same result saving both copies to my desktop or local documents folder.

I can provide you a copy, but not sure it would help.  The process is run a customer command, saveas (1) - success, saveas (2) - fatal.  When the savedas(1) file is reopened and saveas is run again is works just fine.  So i could run the command and then save and send to you, but the saveas/saveas doesn't seem to be an issue when the file is closed and reopened.

The custom command is essentially a command that cleans the drawing to send outside the company for coordination, effectively removing everything but the pipe/duct necessary for coordination.  The command itself runs without issue, but seems to create the saveas/saveas fatal issue.  The easy solution would be for those handful of users to change their processes, because they should be saving the original file to the 1st location before running the custom command anyway.  That would then only require 1 saveas to the 2nd location and never fatal.  Nevertheless, the issue did intrigue me, hence the inquiry.

Vinod, Thanks for the suggestion.  I will look into those settings and let you know.
