Errors like this can be difficult to track down. The first thing I would try is downloading the Autodesk-recommended graphics card drivers for your machine. You can do that at http://autodesk.com/graphics-hardware

In addition to the graphics drivers, I would also make sure to install AutoCAD 2017 SP 1 from the Autodesk Account site (http://accounts.autodesk.com), or Autodesk Desktop Application.

Beyond those troubleshooting steps, you may need to submit a ticket to Autodesk. Before doing that, I would recommend entering your email address into the CER report dialog that opens when AutoCAD crashes. Telling Autodesk that you submitted that report will let them better dig into what might be causing the crash.

Might be graphics related, give this a shot and see if it helps

Hi @Anonymous,

I agree with @TheCADnoob, that a startup with the /nohardware option will likely tell you if you have a graphics card issue.  Start there and post your results.

You might also compare this driver with the one you have installed to see which one performs better.

Hi @Anonymous,

Did you try the newest driver that I suggested earlier?  If so, having a CER report as mentioned in a previous post as well as an NFO might help to determine what is causing the crashing.

Have you installed any add-ins? I would like to see if this performs properly in a new user account without and customizations.

You might also run a Diagnostic Startup to see if something else is contributing to the problem.
