Extend doesn't work

The edges, like the one in the circle, i can't extend and can't trim

The elevation is 0 for both, the line and the spline

The line is normal to the current or world UCS, it was created with a different UCS or was rotated after the fact. If you use UCS Element (or Object) and select the line, the Z axis displays off to the upper left and the Y axis comes directly out of the page.

I used UCS Object to select the line but still it doesn't extend to the spline. Doesn't it extend because the line and the spline were made in different UCS's? How can i fix it, maybe if i drew again the line on top of the previous one, but in which UCS? i don't remember how i drew both

Clean/Well drawing is a good goal every time, but normally it should work too with your objects.

I had NOT checked your files now, but please check your value of PROJMODE

PROJMODE=1 in my drawing, but what does it do? does it project the selected entities to the XY plane of the current UCS? and then it trims/extends? I don't understand the PROJMODE role

it appears the splines (or rather some segments) were also created with a non-world UCS. Extending or trimming just doesn't work. You can however use BREAK to break the spline and osnap perpendicular to the the line for the second point. It's a work-around but better than rebuilding the spline.

You understand Projmode correct.

0 check intersection by objectdata (real intersection of elements)

1 acad project the object data to current ucs and search for intersection

2 acad project objectdata to current view

Back to issue
Your line has no intersection with the visible spline,
normally you can use EDGEMODE for this.

But my first test failed, i had to change the METHOD of spline (look at spline properties ctrl+1)

Then it works.
I dont know why, perhaps i made a incorrect test, but try to change the method abd if needed edgemode 1 / i am in hurry, isnt well for testing SORRY.

Note: your current view is from "behind"

UCS World
PLAN World
Thats the standard config use and view.

Your objects are not at z=0 (nothing to do with issue i think)
EDIT: To correct them try command flatten.  You can do that, but flatten destroy splines and recreate them (so good how it is possible) with polylines.

I changed splines properties > method to FIT from drop down and all commands then worked.

1-Select the spline line that you need to extend and explode it even if it's a single line or arch.
2- Try again to extend the spline line and it will work.
