Export to STP file

I need to export files to share with others that have different software. Does AutoCAD 2019 have the ability to step out files? It does not come up as an option on my export list.

Hi @Anonymous,

I see that you are visiting as a new member to the AutoCAD forum. Welcome to the Autodesk Community!

AutoCAD does not export to that format but there are numerous other formats that it can produce and might make your collaboration possible.

I had one project that we needed to transfer out for printing and they required an stp file.  I ended up downloading Inventor as a trial and was able to export the file without an issue.  That is not a good solution for repetitive file translation but thought I would mention it.  BTW, Inventor is pretty nice for modeling. Might be worth a look or you could post to the inventor forum and ask if someone will translate your file.
