Etransmit - Enlarge file size with the qsave command

Hi,

Just wondering if any had the problem with the etransmit command where it enlarged filesizes and adding files (which is not even attached as xref's in drawing) to the Zip file.

Say for instance, you activate the etransmit command and then it asked you to save the drawing:

File size = 2MB

Files included=16

BUT

Qsave and then activate the etrasnmit command

File size = 200MB

Files included= 79

Thanks

Before I use etransmit I usually PURGE the drawing.

Also have you checked that you don't have any images still attached to the drawing, even though they may not appear in the drawing?

Etransmit has all kinds of options for file types you can include or exclude. Also, you can browse through the file tree and see exactly what it's including prior to making the zip file. As a last resort, you can browse through the finished zip file and delete things that you don't want to include.

The etransmit command also includes a "purge drawings" option.

Hi Thanks,  No that was not the problem, I have actually posted the same question to the Civil 3d Forum as well, as that I thought it might be Data shotcuts but have found the solution for the problem.

Just untick the e-transmit and it works 100%.  One problem that it ticks itself again when opening a new drawing, so we just added variable change to the acaddoc.lsp (change the variable for fieldeval = 23) when opening any new drawing.

Regards
