Error when applying plotter wizard

Dear

During the installation and configuration of a new HP plotter (T1700) we encounter issues blocking us from using the plotter.

When we try to print, following error message appears:

"None: This plotter configuration cannot be used for one of these reasons: the driver cannot be found, the devices cannot be found, or the driver has a problem. The None plot device has been substituted."

When we followed the steps on the Autodesk Q&A forum to apply the add plotter wizard, we received following message.

At this point, we are stuck, unable to print. Could you please resolve this issue?

Kind regards
Robin

Hi,

I can see and guess from your attached image that there is some thing wrong related to the selected plotter !! I suggest to make sure that you select a well known plotter device . Try it and come back again with your feedback .It will be good if you attache another clear image for your plot dialog.

Skip using the wizard, it's not really needed except in highly customized environments and only after testing a new windows based driver is complete. Did you do the latter yet?

And make sure you are not fighting the following core AutoCAD limitations (or features):
1) plot settings are stored in each file in each tab separately from each other and other files.
2) there is no default system wide plot setup for all existing files to use.
3) new plotters and printers added to your system do not automatically replace older ones.
4) the slightest change in the name of the printer/plotter driver (or PC3 file) triggers a NONE setting in AutoCAD.
5) you have an old PC3 file pointing to an old system driver, and you assume it will automatically redirect to the new driver and it will never do that.

If the problem is only with the wizard app, either you forgot to install the Windows driver for the plotter wizard is corrupt and you need a full software removal/reinstall.
